Parem Hwah. What is in a name?

When I moved to Korea, my friends gave me a name that sounded close to my western name "Barrett". My new name was pronounced "Pah-rem"  which means "hope" or "wishes".

The word for "art" in both Chinese and Korean is pronounced "Hwah".

The name "Parem Hwah"  or "Hope Art" expresses the western and eastern connections in the artwork.
